Supporting promising students with educational opportunities, mentorship, career guidance and pathways toward continued learning and future employment.
The Scholarship & Mentorship Support Project seeks to support promising students who may face financial or developmental barriers to continuing their education. Alongside financial assistance, the project provides mentorship, academic support and career guidance to help scholars make informed decisions about their education and future careers.
Provide scholarship assistance to selected students to support continued participation in education.
Place particular emphasis on creating opportunities for promising girls to continue their education and pursue future career pathways.
Connect scholars with volunteer mentors who can provide guidance, encouragement and practical perspectives on education and careers.
Help scholars explore career options, develop relevant skills and access opportunities for internships and further development.
The project combines financial assistance with structured mentorship and support so that scholars receive more than funding alone.
Partner with schools and relevant education stakeholders to nominate promising candidates and establish transparent selection criteria.
Establish a scholarship fund supported by donors, corporate partners and other appropriate contributors.
Pair selected scholars with volunteer mentors from relevant professional or industry backgrounds and maintain regular progress engagement.
Provide academic support, career counselling, skills guidance and assistance with internship or further learning opportunities.
Monitor scholar retention, academic progress, mentorship engagement and post-scholarship outcomes to assess the effectiveness of the project.
Support may be structured according to the needs of each scholar and the resources available through the project and its partners.
The project places emphasis on girls as an important beneficiary group, recognising the value of supporting promising female students to remain in education, develop confidence, explore career opportunities and prepare for meaningful participation in the workforce and wider society.
The project will monitor both the reach of scholarship support and the quality of mentorship and longer-term educational outcomes.
