The Device
Donation Project is one of the core project under the Digital Inclusion & Literacy Project of Future Bridge Tech Foundation (FBTF). The project seeks to
bridge the technology access gap by providing refurbished or newly donated
digital devices such as laptops, tablets, smartphones and assistive
technologies to underserved learners, schools, and community centers. By
connecting donors and beneficiaries, FBTF ensures that technology becomes a
tool for empowerment, learning and opportunity rather than a barrier caused by
financial limitations.

Device
Collection: Devices are sourced from individuals, corporate bodies, tech
companies and institutions willing to donate new or used gadgets.
Refurbishment
& Quality Check: Devices are examined, cleaned, and restored by FBTF鈥檚
technical volunteers to ensure functionality and safety before redistribution.
Beneficiary
Identification: Schools, youth groups and individuals in marginalized areas
are identified through community surveys and partner networks.
Distribution
& Training: Each donation event includes a short training session to help
recipients use their devices effectively for learning, business or personal
development.
Monitoring
& Follow-up: The Foundation periodically evaluates how devices are being
used to ensure sustainability and impact.
The Device
Donation Project is volunteer-driven. Volunteers play a central role in
collecting and cataloging donated devices, conducting basic repairs, cleaning,
and software installation, assisting with logistics and distribution during
donation events and offering mentorship and user support to beneficiaries. A Project Coordinator oversees planning, partnerships and reporting, ensuring
transparency and accountability.
