Understanding the FBTF Approach

Future Bridge Tech Foundation (FBTF) believes that meaningful community support should encourage people not only to seek solutions for themselves or others, but also to become part of a community that is willing to help people in need.

For this reason, FBTF follows a structured approach to assistance. A person cannot simply submit a request and assume that assistance will automatically be provided.

Where a member or corporate member wishes to bring a genuine need to the attention of FBTF, the appropriate membership and support process must be followed. The need may then be considered based on the information, evidence, circumstances and resources available.

At the same time, FBTF may independently identify a genuine need through its programmes, projects, community engagement, partnerships or other legitimate channels and decide to respond where appropriate.

Our Core Principle

Help should be part of a community of people who are willing to help others.

FBTF's membership model is therefore intended to create more than a list of beneficiaries. It is intended to build a community of individuals and organisations who recognise needs, support responsible solutions and contribute to the wider purpose of helping others.

The FBTF Support Pathway

Where a need is brought to FBTF by a member or corporate member, it follows a structured process.

01

Membership

The individual or organisation participates through the appropriate FBTF membership category.

02

Willingness to Help

Membership represents participation in a community that values helping others and responding responsibly to need.

03

Identify a Need

A member or corporate member may identify a genuine need affecting an individual, institution or community.

04

Submit a Proposal

The matter is presented through the appropriate FBTF request or proposal process.

05

Review & Verification

FBTF may review the circumstances and request supporting information or evidence of the stated need.

06

Support Where Appropriate

Where the need is established and resources are available, FBTF may provide or facilitate appropriate assistance.

Two Ways a Need May Reach FBTF

Not every intervention begins with a request.

👥

1. A Member Identifies a Need

A member or corporate member may become aware of a person, institution or community experiencing a genuine need.

The member may bring the matter to FBTF through the established process, providing relevant information and supporting evidence where required.

FBTF then considers the matter according to its applicable policies, resources and verification requirements.

🌍

2. FBTF Identifies a Need

FBTF may independently identify a genuine need through its programmes, projects, community engagement, partnerships, assessments or other legitimate activities.

In such circumstances, FBTF may initiate an intervention without waiting for an individual or organisation to submit a request.

Any such intervention remains subject to available resources, verification and the applicable FBTF process.

Important: Membership Does Not Guarantee Assistance

Becoming an FBTF member or corporate member does not create an automatic entitlement to financial, material, technological or other assistance.

Membership provides participation in the FBTF community and, where applicable, an appropriate channel through which genuine needs may be presented for consideration.

Any assistance depends on factors including the nature of the need, supporting evidence, applicable policies, available resources and FBTF's ability to respond.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can anyone simply request assistance from FBTF?

FBTF does not operate as an automatic request-and-receive assistance service. Where a person or organisation wishes to bring a need to FBTF for consideration, the applicable membership and support process should be followed.

Does becoming a member guarantee assistance?

No. Membership does not guarantee financial, material, technological or other assistance. It provides participation in the FBTF community and, where applicable, access to the appropriate process for presenting a genuine need.

Can FBTF help someone who did not submit a request?

Yes. FBTF may independently identify a genuine need through its programmes, projects, community engagement or partnerships and may initiate support where appropriate and within its available resources.

Why does FBTF use a structured process?

A structured process helps FBTF understand the need, assess available information, verify circumstances where necessary, manage limited resources responsibly and maintain fairness and accountability.
