Future Bridge Tech Foundation (FBTF) provides resources to help create meaningful and measurable improvements in education, digital inclusion, entrepreneurship, skills development and community development.
FBTF does not view resource support simply as the act of placing a device, facility or other resource in the hands of a beneficiary. Our approach is centred on purpose, responsible use and measurable impact.
When FBTF provides a resource to a school, business, individual or community initiative, the resource is deployed with an intended purpose. We therefore look beyond the initial provision and consider whether the resource is actually contributing to the outcomes it was intended to support.
FBTF Resource → Intended Use → Beneficiary → Measurable Outcomes → Continued Impact
Receiving an FBTF resource means that a beneficiary has been entrusted with access to or use of a resource for an intended purpose.
The resource remains an FBTF resource throughout its deployment. Provision of a resource does not automatically mean that ownership of the underlying FBTF resource has been transferred to the recipient.
This approach allows FBTF to remain accountable for the resources entrusted to it and to ensure that available resources continue to contribute to meaningful development outcomes.
Resources available for development are limited. FBTF therefore seeks to ensure that resources entrusted to the Foundation are used where they can produce meaningful and sustainable results.
Every resource should serve a clear educational, digital, entrepreneurial or community-development purpose.
FBTF looks for evidence that resources are contributing to the outcomes they were intended to support.
Resources are managed responsibly so that beneficiaries, partners and supporters can see meaningful use.
Resources may be reassessed and redeployed when circumstances change or intended outcomes are not being achieved.
FBTF considers resource support as an ongoing process rather than a one-time transaction.
FBTF recognises that circumstances can change. A resource may become unsuitable, remain underused, no longer be needed, or fail to produce the intended outcomes.
Where monitoring shows that a resource is not generating meaningful results, FBTF may review the situation and, where appropriate, recover and redeploy the resource to another setting where it can potentially create greater impact.
A resource is not being meaningfully utilised.
The original need or operating environment has changed.
The intended development outcomes are not being demonstrated.
The resource may be moved to another suitable setting.
The purpose of this approach is not to make support difficult for beneficiaries. It is to ensure that resources entrusted to FBTF continue to serve the development purposes for which they were deployed.
When a resource is producing meaningful results, the focus is on supporting continued use and strengthening its impact. When it is not, FBTF may reassess where that resource can be more effectively deployed.
In this way, one resource can potentially support different beneficiaries over time and continue contributing to FBTF's mission of Bridging Gaps, Building Bridges.
FBTF does not measure success simply by how many resources are provided. We look at how those resources are used and whether they contribute to meaningful outcomes.
